An independent movie is a movie that is self made and has a certain message that the directer want to spread.In a independent movie you can make a decisions for the movie on your own and direct it however you want.This is because it's not directed by a company nor a boss.While a Hollywood Blockbuster movie is directed by a company and all the ideas and decisions for the movie is decided by someone.A Hollywood movie also use a high budget compared to an indie movie.
2) What is I, Daniel Blake about?
Daniel Black is about a 59 year man,who worked as a joiner for most of his life. Daniel Blake is seeking help from the state after he got ill.during his journey he meets u with Katie a single mother of two children.Who is struggling between living as a homeless or live in a hostel 300 miles away.Daniel Blake along side with Katie are fighting together for their dignity.
3) Who directed I, Daniel Blake and why is this important?
Ken Loach is the directer of I,Daniel Blake.This is important because Ken Loach is more interested in spreading political messages about the struggle of ordinary people face in their daily life.For example unemployment and poverty.His message is to try to stop these things happening in our world.He makes his movies using his creativity and knowledge.In his opinion movies that contain kindness,sadness and comedy are better then action movies.What matter to him is for his art to be spread and not money.

One of the very unusual marketing method used to get the audience
attention was the name of the film I,Daniel Blake was projected onto the house of parliament and in various cities.This helped the film a lot because the people walking by might see it and might be interested and decide to watch it or just know about it.

The money received to make I,Daniel Blake was 2 million.Which means they spent those 2 million to make the film and promote it and in return they made 11 million from the film.They benefited a lot from it because now they have enough money to make more movies and id those movies are successful as well they can gain even more money.

I,Daniel Blake producer can compete by making more less budget movies that gives them less chance to loss money from it.While Marvel risks losing money with their high budget movies.The more I,Daniel Blake producer make more less budget movies the more they gain from them and that way they can compete against Hollywood blockbusters.

In my opinion I,Daniel Blake was a huge success because for an independent movie 11 million is a lot. This is because Independent movies don't receive a huge amount of money to make film so the fact I, Daniel Blake made 11 million would help them to make more movies and gain from them.
Making a film launch a political movement is When you make a film that contain issues and the daily struggle of an ordinary person.Their aim is to get the government attention on these issues and try to handle them to make life easier for certain people.
